Fa-la-la-la...

This past weekend was a blur, but understandable since Christmas is coming near. After leaving the office for the last time on Friday, my boss took me out to a nice lunch followed by a fun happy hour with my co-workers. They are SO sweet, gave me a card signed by all of them along with a spa giftcard. They will surely be missed! I then rushed home to get ready for Matt's company holiday party. It was at the California Club in LA and was a blast! Hello!!..open bar, of course it's gonna be a blast, right! ;) Then we headed to the Standard. Soo tired at the end of the night. The next day was a gloomy and lazy day, but headed out to Northridge later that afternoon for Chino and Marilyn's engagement party. We are extremely happy for them, it was nice to see and feel their excitement. Even more so for Matt, as two of his close friends are getting married! After we headed back to drive through Candy Cane Lane and enjoyed pretty sights, cookies, and hot cocoa. Mmmm! I looove Christmas lights! Weee!!

The next day was again a lazy day but Matt and I went to the Block and hung out with my sister. We had lunch/dinner, did more Christmas shopping, and walked around in the cold with boba. That night I started wrapping Christmas gifts. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!! It's has been uber cold, so all I've been wanting to do is stay in, pop in a movie or watch some tv in my pjs, with my blanket, and hot cocoa, and maybe even some cookies. Yesterday was my god-daughter's school Christmas program. I must say, she's so cute and talented! You know, just like her Ninang! Haha But she sang and danced and made us smile. Then Matt and I took our yearly holiday pics. What did we do this year? You'll just have to wait and see! Til next time!

Chapter closes

A chapter of my life is coming to an end today. I sit here at my almost cleaned out desk watching my boss do the same. Today is our last day in the office. I woke up today with a bittersweet feeling. I felt relieved but somewhat sad but at the same time happy, and honestly a little scared. But I know things happen for a reason, and there IS a better and brighter tomorrow. I will defintely cherish the friendships I have made here and take them with me, along with everything both personally and professionally I have learned from them. And this being my last blog from my desk and as a "Wamulian", I raise my glass to the future that will make me look back and say to myself, "It all happened for a reason, thank you God"..Cheers!

The Ring Tizzy

Here's an article I stumbled upon during my daily morning reads on CNN.com. Haha! Enjoy!

Maybe it's because we're forced to deal with our families more than usual during the holidays, but these can be trying times for women without rings on their wedding fingers.

Aunt Esther's annual grab at your left hand and subsequent clucking over your naked ring finger is annoying, but you write it off because she's senile and will die soon. When your cousin Myrna gasses on about her impending nuptials over eggnog, you actually feel a little sorry for her because you see the way her betrothed keeps eyeing her sister.

But when your baby sister flashes the rock that her professor-turned-paramour put under the tree, you succumb to a little condition called "The Ring Tizzy."

"The Ring Tizzy" is what happens when you just can't take another snide comment, pitying look, or "helpful" suggestion. You're single, after all -- not recently diagnosed with some fatal, flesh-eating disease.

But that's how it can feel sometimes, and instead of cracking-wise in reply, you give in and decide that you are going to shut all of them up once and for all because you, too, are getting married. Whether he likes it or not. After all, you guys have been dating for a couple years, months, weeks, or days -- how long does he think he's going to keep milking that cow for free?

Here's exactly the wrong way to go about extracting a proposal from your man.

1. The cutesy ooopsy method: You leave magazines scattered around. Oddly enough, each one open to giant, full-page ads for diamond rings. You hum "Every kiss belongs to Kay" and every other jewelry store jingle you can think of.

While out walking with your guy, you always seem to need to stop and tie your shoes or adjust your scarf just as you pass a jewelry store. You work jewel-related metaphors into every possible conversation: "She's as dull as a half-price CZ," or "I wish my hair were PLATINUM." You aren't convincing him to marry you --you're showing him that you think he's a moron.

2. The business agreement: "Look, neither of us are getting any younger, let's just get married," you briskly inform him while whipping out a sensible spreadsheet that proves exactly how marriage will be beneficial to both parties. This approach is about as romantic as a hairball, and if he thought he was worried about being celibate once he walked down the aisle, this is just the tool to convince him of that.

3. The angry passive-aggressive "hint": "What do you want for Hanukkah," he asks sweetly. "I want to die alone, in my parents' basement, covered in cat hair," you hiss in reply, as your head spins like a top and pea soup spews from your mouth. You charmer -- who wouldn't wanna marry you?

4. The angry aggressive-aggressive approach: When most guys consider marriage, they aren't envisioning a romantic ceremony and a reception filled with their nearest and dearest. They're thinking that you're the last person they're ever going to hook up with, and if their friends' marriages are any indicator, he's not even going to be getting much of that.

If you need to shriek and demand a proposal from a guy, he's probably going to walk quickly in the opposite direction. Even if he gives in, you might have a fun wedding, but you're not going to have much of a marriage. Sure, he might have sprung for the ring, but he's never going to forget that he was hectored into doing something he wasn't ready to do.

Much better to show Aunt Sophie your other finger, congratulate Cousin Myrna on landing such a stylish groom, give your sister a congratulatory hug, and count yourself lucky that you're not going to see your family for another year.

Ooopen the lights!

Friday night, Matthew and I watched Jo Koy at the Brea Improv with Kat, JB, Steph, Aron, Jerry, and Drea. The show was hilarious and it was good to laugh after the work week. He performed some new material, but put a twist to his old stuff so it was still cool to hear. But nonetheless, FUNNY!!! And as an added bonus, he was on for about 3 hours! Here's a pic of us with the funny man himself!

The next day was a complete blur! Well, I know I woke up early. Like SUPER early, but I can't remember why. Haha! I finally did SOME laundry though and ran some errands. Then Matthew and I went to his cousin's baby shower and there saw some of his cousins we haven't seen in a while (including the celebrants!) and some from out of town, so it was nice seeing them and catching up. Aaand I won a baby shower game, you know the one where you have to sculpt a baby out of bubble gum. I'm a winner! We later drove back to my house because my car was to be the lucky one that gets to transport a Christmas tree. But I must say, my tree is puuurty :) And I love going to bed and waking up to the smell..of pine! Haha ..but Christmas! And don't know if you can see it well here, but my balls are pretty. Lol.

We then headed back to his cousin's house to watch the Pac-Man "mexicute" De La Hoya. Manny! Manny! Manny!... but I kinda felt bad for his opponent. Someone who was so great one day and now..well, so sad! I think I'm too emotional and sensitive, it's a fight! Haha Later that night, we went out for some food and drinks with them.
We got up early again the next morning because I'm a Confirmation sponsor for one of Matt's cousins and we had mass. The priest included Bono and Britney Spears in his homily. Random. Haha Then drove to Matt's house to meet up and have breakfast with his cousins who were flying out at noon. Then baaack to Cerritos (phew! I'm just tired thinking about it again) to do some more Christmas shopping. We later saw Q because what weekend would be complete without seeing the little man? We ended up completely knocking out on my couch by 9pm. Sleepy!
But today I went home around 11am. Felt a little under the weather. But went to my Ninang's house and did some work. I shoulda slept. Yawn!

BLESSED

I am so completely BLESSED. Like, unbelievably blessed. I can't even begin to explain...

OMG Britney! (Just for Kat)

I wake up to my phone notifying me that Michelle had left a message on my Facebook Wall. Dun dun dun.. Britney concert tickets on sale this morning! Whoa. Followed by an email from her with the presale information and password. Whoa, whoa. My head was spinning, I just woke up, yet I wanted to bounce off the walls. I rushed to my laptop, went onto Ticketmaster, and of course my internet connection gives me problems..the day I need to get Britney tixs! I call Kat and Layla came out! Go-go-go-get the tickets!!! (I didn't mean to scare you Biffy, but just like Black Friday, Britney is no joke! Haha ) And becuase of my wonderful bestest, I am watching Britney with my Throw girls with bomb ass seats! I get ready for work while I wait for Britney's performance on GMA. And..ladies and gents, SHE'S BACK and there's no denying it! I know I kept saying that the past few years but I swear this time I mean it! After taking my god-daughter to school I stopped by Target to grab her CD and OMG Britney! It is GRRRRREAT! I can't stop listening to it and can't wait to get home so I can dance to it. In my kitchen. Haha! Yes, I was late to work and felt all light headed this morning but it was well worth it...I'm watching Britney in concert!! Yaaaayayayayyeeeeeee!!!!

Deja Vu

Here it is, all over again. Last year around this time was my first time getting laid off from work. A year later, here's my 3rd time. A bit bummed but can't say I was surprised. I'm optimistic and know that there is something better our there for me, a place where I won't get laid off every 6 months or so. Haha My last day is not until the end of January, but the negativity here blows! But am very thankful for all the calls, notes, emails, and hugs. Every time this happens (that sounds horrible) I feel so loved with all the encouragement I get from people and I swear it's what gives me luck that I always come out of it OK! I am all smiles and am very much ready for my better and brighter tomorrow..and I KNOW that, like Alicia Keys says.. "everything's gonna be alright!" :)

Where's the....TURKEY?!! Out shopping.

Thanksgiving morning started off with my usual watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade pre-show with the broadway acts as I snuggled in my blanket. Then the rest of the day was BOOM BOOM BOOM! Thanksgiving was at my house this year so helped the parentals cook and get ready. It was a nice gathering, except we were missing the main "guest". The turkey! We had ordered from Honey Baked and when we opened the bag, it was ham! Super bummed! But oh well, the rest of the food was DELISH! Matt even made corn bread muffins, gravy, and Tita Date's yummy mashed potatoes. And I made..the vegetables and salad. Hey..I made somethin! Here's just SOME of the food and some other pics. My parents and sis left that afternoon for Vegas but Matthew and I stayed behind. We went to relative's house for another Thanksgiving gathering, this time a BBQ. Soon after we went home to get ready for some Black Friday midnight shopping. For all of you who don't know me well, THIS is my HOLIDAY! Matthew, Kat, Steph and I headed for Cabazon, got there at midnight but because of all the people we were stuck at the freeway exit for a good hour. He dropped us off to start shopping and didn't find parking until another hour later! We found good deals and great buys. I'm on a high just thinking about it! But my narcoleptic boyfriend was a TROOPER! He even got the car for us, I heart him so! We got home around 6am, took a short nap thenheaded off to the mall with my Ninang. Again, great buys! Love it! Got home a little after noon, packed, and headed to see cousin Q for his birthday. Then off to the airport to meet my parents in Vegas.
Matt and I were SO done by the time we got there. But that didn't stop us from waking up early on Saturday to, what else..SHOP! It was a looong shop day. But we're almost done Christmas shopping! First time ever! Woohoo! My Dad didn't even want to try. He stayed behind as the rest of us went. Vegas wasn't as crowded as usual, but the shops were. I thought we were in recession?? We got back to LA on Sunday just in time for Mike's surprise birthday lunch and saw my Throw girls! Then off to a "Thanksgiving dinner" at Joe's Sushi with Matt's cousins..super yum! But at the end of the night I felt like I was going to explode!! But good times, good people, good food, good buys, and finally that night..good SLEEP!
Pictures as usual can be found in my links.

New Kids on MY Block!

The concert was so much fun with Biffy, Marilyn, and Michelle.. and Jordan was hotter than ever! The show was the last show of the tour, SADNESS!! Since this was our 2nd time watching (hehe!) we skipped the opening acts and had dinner instead with Matthew and chino. We arrived just in time to get a drink and take one last pee break before they came on stage. Then it was screaming, laughing, dancing, singing, reminiscing, and yes..some tears throughout the night. (And lots of crotch shots!)After the concert we met up with the boys and had late night breakfast, the best kind of breakfast! It was a good night! Especially because Biffy and I kept the tradition going with spending Thanksgiving Eve together, since THE incident. Hehehe!!

Uh-oh-oooh..the right stuff! Until next time NKOTB! ..when they're old and gray. Let's hope not!

Seeds

Yes, another post same day! My coworker emails me daily biblical "seed of the day". The two most recent are:

"Drreaming God's promises without doing = Foolishness
-"Dreaming instead of doing is foolishness" -Ecclesiastes 5:7 (LB)

"Complaining about our current situations = Remaining in them"
- "... How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites. So tell them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say: In this desert your bodies will fall-every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me. Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua, son of Nun" -Numbers 14:26-30 (NIV)

And here's my "seed of the day". With Thanksgiving coming up, it's as simple as being THANKFUL. Instead of focusing on negativity, just list out in your head the many things you are thankful for. Just some food for thought. =)

Wanted: Sleep (and Edward Cullen)

It has been CRAZY busy but a ton of fun. Last Wed, Drea and I went to the Usher concert at Club Nokia. We brought love in the club with "french fries" and "1972!" After we went to this KBBQ place (of course!) my sis told me about that was 24 hours. (Oh whaa?!) Super yum! The next day wasn't so bad at work but I had the midnight showing of Twilight to look forward to! The night started off with dinner with my 'cousins', who i now call- "Throw Girls", at Hooters where our waitress had her pad hanging from her booty shorts. Not a pleasant sight. Before we knew it, we had our nachos, candy, and popcorn and were waiting for our date with the sexiest vampire ever, Edward Cullen! The movie was ok, alright, eh.. but him and his hotness..mmm. ;) But of course, the book was so much better! That next morning at work I must confess was a bit of a struggle. But couldn't have myself think about it too much because right after work I headed out to LA where I met Matthew for happy hour before our Lakers vs. Nuggets game. It was a good game, cuz I got tacos! Go Lakers! And we met up with Matt's cousins along with bumping into some friends, so it was cool. But the night didn't stop there, we went out to LB to have one last bash with Ray and Abby before they move to MD! It's weird that Abby won't be a drive away anymore, makes me sad everytime I think about it. Here's our last group pic together..sad!

But hopefully we all keep our promise to see each other at least once a year, maybe even more! I so wanted to sleep in Sat morn, but of course not! I took my little cousin to watch the first showing of Twilight and for me, it was better the second time around. Maybe because it wasn't 2am a few hours before having to go to work! After, we hung out and had a birthday lunch with Matt's aunt before going to out to celebrate Susie's bday at the Stinking Rose. We were oozing garlic! Happy Bithday Susie!

The next day we watched "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at the Performing Arts Center. The show was good, but not as WOW as Matt and I remembered it. Though the last time we had the actual Broadway cast, so no matter what no comparison! We were supposed to head out to The Grove LA to watch the tree lightening ceremony but at this point I was literally gonna fall over! So we opted to stay local and watch the Laker game at happy hour with Matt's cousins. Just as much fun! I wanted to sleep early that night, but the AMA's were on! If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it.. Beyonce rocks! I think I'm staring to catch up on sleep. I fell asleep last night at 9pm last night, but I'm still sleepy! Up next..NKOTB concert tomorrow, then THANKSGIVING!! Matt is with me and my fam this year. We're in charge of potatoes and some side dishes..we'll see how it goes!

KBBQ Overload

..but oh so yum!! Friday night was spent with friends over korean bbq. Nice to see their faces and catch up, always fun! The next morning I went to visit my Ninang and along with an Auntie and cousins ended up at the mall. THAT was fun =) It reminded me of the times when I was a kid and all my aunties, including my ninang, were all single and I was the only kid. Every Saturday morning they'd pick me up from my house to go out, and it was usually the mall. So it was nice being with them. Later that day the boyfriend and I met up with more fun friends for, you guessed it, kbbq! Total food coma after. I just wanted to sleep right after! But Matt and I watched "Spring Awakening" at the Ahmanson. Definitely not your typical musical but it is worth watching and probably one that I will not forget. It was a great show! Better yet, we've had luck in watching shows during the Broadway Cares campaign and we got a poster signed by the cast which they give with certain donations. Another to add to our collection, I just need to get frames now. Matt and I always try to get a magnet and a program for each show we watch, and lately they've been giving bags with the programs. I know..we're total nerds.

It was a wonderful evening, thanks a bunch hun! Then we headed out to a relatives house to help out with his grandma's 75th birthday party, but pretty much ended up playing with little cousin Q! We ate french fries and "cheers'd" (is that even a word) with water the night away! The next morning I headed out to San Diego for Raymond's and Abegail's Farewell brunch.
They're moving to MD. Sadness! But uber excited for them! I'll miss you guys! We had it at 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant and it was scrumptious! Saw alot of highschool classmates and it was weird to see us all, we look old!! LOL I made good time back to LA to meet up with Matthew since he stayed behind for his grandma's birthday brunch. I was so sad I missed it but was able to visit her that evening after dinner, and a-ha! this time it wasn't kbbq! It was a busy weekend but very fun! Lots of things to look forward to this week, especially...Twilight. Oh, Edward.
Oh! And must buy book for my class that starts this Monday! Thanks to a friend, I will actually start the class on time! =)

And it so it begins..again

Wow, I can't believe I haven't blogged since May! Crazy! Of course so much has happened- trips, birthdays, graduations, engagements (not mine!), and absolute fun times! School is still kicking me hard in the ass. At the moment I'm taking these upper division "leisure" classes but they are far from leisure! Work has been nothing but ROCKY with the economic state our country is in. Since my company got bought out, I will find out in the next few weeks what my employment status is. It's like deja vu! I got laid off last year right before the holidays, and then again in June. I got saved each time but who knows what will happen this time. But I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and will fall into place! We're coming close to the holidays and I have yet to check if my Gingerbread Latte is back at Starbucks. I wait allll year long I'm so excited. I briefly went to the mall on Veteran's Day and it's like they skipped Thanksgiving. All over the mall Christmas music was being played, decorations, Santa's picture area was even set up. I'm like HELLO we still have Thanksgiving!! But who am I to talk, I start playing Christmas music in August. I am DEFINITELY excited for the holidays but lots of things in between to look forward to! Weee!!

Ta-ta til later!

With everyone's help we were able to be one of the top family teams with donations at the event. My goal was $500 but with the blessings of the wonderful people in my life I more than doubled that! A definite, WHOO HOO!

Life is still good and I'm still happy... =)

March madness

What a month! I haven't posted in a while, it's been crazy..it's been fun..and lately been scary! The month started off busy as usual with work and school, late nights to early mornings.. dragging myself to work or forcing myself to read just one more page! However, I have been blessed with wonderful people in my life, I get overwhelmed with emotion everytime I think about it. We went to San Diego early in the month to celebrate a friend's birthday with brunch. It's always fun seeing them, especially her kids who seem to grow everytime we see them. Then the following weekend my friends threw me a birthday bash. I cannot say how thankful I am for not only what they did but for having them in my life. I've been so busy and overwhelmed they planned EVERYTHING and went above and beyond! They sent me on this cute scavengger hunt from finding a crown to the highschool we all attended to finding Matt with a big bouquet of the pinkest roses where we had prom and he was my date, it was exciting! There was even cupcakes from Sprinkles involved! Hehe Then we went to Dragon in Hermosa Beach where it was major fun times all night! My cake…OH my cake! Was beautiful and YUMMY!!! Abby brought it up from Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego. We had some problems with the guest list (even I wasn't on it!!) but again my friends came to the rescue and paid for some cover charges. They had me wear this crown and sash and reminded me that I was "Sweet 16 plus 10!" Haha They put so much into it, I so love them! So to Kat, Abby, and Gwynn…THANK YOU SO MUCH! Thank you times a million! And thanks to everyone that came out too despite the windy and rainy weather! My friends are seriously better than yours. Hahaha =P The next day I had brunch with the fam, the whole gang! Of course, it's always fun with family and am happy I was able to celebrate with them too! The next day was St. Patty's day and hung out with Matt's friends. But who woulda thought that St. Pattys Day 2008 would be the last day I'd have Eeyore, my car.
Unfortuantely on my way to work the next morning I got into a car accident. So scary! I was on the onramp of the fwy at a full stop when out of nowhere this F150 rams into me from behind at full speed! It was a horrible feeling I was so scared, shocked, stunned..all at the same time. Cannot describe the feeling. The person that hit me was nice, she got out of her truck and checked up on me. And yes, she is insured! She might have been my age or a little younger. I ended up with a minor concussion along with neck and back injuries. I'm very lucky that's all I had cuz it really could have been worse. Who knows if my visor wasn't down for my head to hit! Man, I am very grateful! Matt and Kat both immediately left work and came to visit me in the ER which was oober nice of them and then Matt took me home a litte after lunchtime. I was highly drugged so I stayed in bed for the rest of the day and the week. I received many calls of concern and it's times like these you realize how lucky you are in life with the people you were blessed with.I celebrated my "real" birthday on Friday with my lawyer. Haha Drea took me out to lunch then drove me to my lawyer to go through my case. Afterwards we went to get foot massages since the place wasn't too far from my lawyer's office. Gwynn also visited me that day and surprised me with a basket from Edible Arrangements. That night I celebrated my birthday with my parents, Matt, Monica, and Kat at C&O's Trattoria. Though I couldn't really move I could definitely still eat! HahaOh! And I finally got it! Matt gave me the I Love Lucy DVD collection! Yipee! Saturday Matt was supposed to surprise me but with me being injured and all, we are postponing that until I get better, hopefully by our anniversary in a few weeks! So we just hung out, went to the mall for a bit. That night we hung out with his cousins and Sam and had kbbq to celebrate another bday, his cousin's! Then we went back to Matt's house where we put to use his cousins' gift to me, a dessert cookbook! We made "black velvet, indigo, neon, with a consistency of corn bread and tasted like oreo" cake. Long story, but so fun! On Easter I went to mass with my parents then went with Matt to his family gathering followed by Matt coming with me to my family gathering. My sister also came home from school that day. Knocked out early because I went back to work Monday. Work is ok though it does hurt to be sitting for so long. I started physical therapy yesterday and will be going 3 times a week. Today is Abby's birthday! She's joining the Sweet 16 plus 10 club! Haha Happy Birthday girly!! My 26th birthday was definitely a memorable one and there were more fun and happy times then down times! And though my car was totalled and went byebye I received the best gift for my 26th birthday, being able to get out of that accident OK!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

This past weekend was one of the most fun weekends ever. There was no cell phone, internet, or even tv reception. Yet being in the company of good friends was enough. And I have Matt, Mon, Kat, Abby, Raymond, Gwynn, and Sam to thank for that! This weekend we borrowed my boss' house in Big Bear. The cutest house ever too! We left early Sat morn and arrived a little before lunch, due to some traffic and putting on them tire cables. The drive was cool, the scenery so pretty. Snow! Haha The weather was nice and wasn't too bad. Off and on winds but for sure COLD! When we got there we all got our grub on. We made the trip potluck style so everyone brought a little something, but when all together it was a a lot! Lasagna, dips, wings, pasta salad, cookies, chips...you hungry yet? Haha We had so much food and drinks it was like we were staying for the week! But anyway, we grilled Gwynn's YUMMY carne asada..yup you heard right! Grilled in the snowy weather! We all put the food together, ate, had some laughs, and watched some movies. From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Pinocchio, it was nice just to hang out on the couch with your friends. Some of us slept and got some well needed rest, some of us including me went outside, played, and even sled! And the best part was, it snowed! I've never seen FALLING snow. I loved every minute of it! None of us went boarding though, we were all pretty content with staying in. Of course, what's a gathering without drinks! Me and the girls drank and laughed the night away as the guys continued to watch movies (and I say this loosely becuase it was prob 7pm). Hahaha By 10pm, we were all getting ready for bed and we all slept early. We're such party animals huh? Haha We got up early the next morn, ate the left overs for breakfast and started to clean up the house. We had lunch at an italian spot at the Village, walked around, and headed home soon after. Short trip, but soon to be repeated! And this time, maybe going a day earlier so we won't be so tired when we get there and we'll have a whole entire day to play. But I really can't complain. It was awesome fun!! I'll post some pics soon.

1:06 AM

I really should be studying or sleeping. But instead I'm watching reruns of Full House on Nick at Nite. It's the episode where Steph gets all freaked out over an earthquake and doesn't want to leave her dad's side. Earthquakes are scary!! I'm TERRIFIED of them! Anyone who knows me well, knows that I cry and panic at the slightest ground movement. When I was younger, my parents would have to pretty much carry me to the car from school becuause I'd be crying my eyes out scared. These days, I still go crazy and my parents ALWAYS calls me on my cell phone after the shake to make sure that I'm not only ok but because they know how crazy scared I get. We haven't had any big hits (thank goodness) but had some smaller ones throughout the years. And I'd be at work or somehting, and be too embarassed to cry so I just fight it. Like, haaaah yaaaa iiim ooh kaaay. Haha But once my parents or Matt calls, I'd be ok. Sorta. Random jibberish. I should sleep now. Early meeting in a few hours....

In a nutshell

Wowzers. It's been a while! I just thought I'd start blogging again, we'll see how long it lasts. Haha Anyway here's my update, my life right now in a nutshell.

Life's still good, can't really complain and actually shouldn't. Still very blessed. I'm turning 26 in a few weeks, but I'm really 12. Matt and I are going on 8 years and still enjoying our time together. I still work at WaMu with Home Loans though I was laid-off right before Christmas but was rehired 2 weeks after with a better offer. (Just proves, someone up above is always looking out!) I'm taking a 360 in my career and am currently pursuing a B.S. in Nursing. I'm a prenursing student at National University and hopefully will start the program in LA or SD by next year. Orginally I was taking the 2yr RN route, but decided eh, whats another year or so? And the wait was sooo long! Haha But at least I finally figured out what I wanted to do? Well hopefully. Haha But no turning back now...moving forward! It's been hectic in terms of schedule, each class is a month so it's go go go! But luckily I've been able to balance work and school out..for now at least. Haha My sister goes to UCD now so not having her around took some getting used to, she's on her 2nd year now which is weird cuz crap, she's in college?! Haha Graham is still fat, but still cute as ever!! Aaand that's pretty much it. Same ol' me! Still hanging out..can always find me with friends or family, or being lazy bum at Matt's. Haha But always looking for a fun!

The holidays were great. I spent my first Thanksgiving away from home with Matt and his family up north and though I missed my family it was complete awesomeness and I had so much fun! Christmas came so quick, and as mentioned earlier I wasn't working so it was a nice mini vacation. The year started off ok, it's really just all a blur..this year is just zooming by! We're already at the end of Feb! Last week for Valentines, Matt and I watched one of his fave comedians, Russell Peters, at the Nokia in LA on Sat. That is one nice venue! Next, is my birthday. And guess what! It's on Good Friday! Anyone care to join me at church?? Hehe

Tonight I hung out with Kat and Gwynn, had dinner. It's always fun with those 2! We just end up talking and laughing...but mostly laughing until we're crying. The best kind! This weekend we're borrowing my boss' house in Big Bear so we're taking a trip up. It's gonna be crazy fun! Looking forward!
